Privacy policy

This privacy policy is a working draft for the worker-intake phase of Garden Route Hands and should be reviewed before full public launch.

1. Information we collect

Garden Route Hands may collect information submitted through worker application forms, contact forms, and future booking forms.

Worker application information may include your name, phone number, home town, ID number, cleaning experience, transport access, towns you can work in, available days, skills, preferred work types, reference details, emergency contact details, application notes, and screening consent.

Contact form information may include your name, phone number, email address, enquiry reason, message, and date submitted.

2. Why we collect information

We collect worker application information to review applications, contact applicants, conduct screening, perform reference checks, verify suitability, manage an approved worker pool, and consider approved workers for future once-off cleaning jobs.

We collect contact form information to respond to enquiries, worker application questions, booking questions, and business enquiries.

3. Screening information

Garden Route Hands may keep internal screening notes, reference check outcomes, ID check outcomes, application status records, and communication notes linked to worker applications.

Screening information is intended for internal application review and worker-pool management. It is not intended for public display.

4. ID numbers and references

ID numbers and reference details are collected for application review, screening, and verification. These details are not intended for public display.

By submitting reference details, applicants confirm that the reference information is accurate and may be used by Garden Route Hands for application review.

5. Future profile information

Garden Route Hands may later request additional profile information from approved workers, such as a profile photograph or short worker profile, before client bookings open.

Any future worker profile information should only be used for operational purposes such as worker identification, client confirmation, and internal worker-pool management, subject to the worker's consent and applicable privacy requirements.

6. How information is stored

Information submitted through the website may be stored using third-party systems used by Garden Route Hands, including website hosting, database, email, and administrative tools.

Garden Route Hands takes reasonable steps to protect submitted information, but no online system can be guaranteed to be fully secure.

7. Who can access information

Worker application and contact information should only be accessed by authorised Garden Route Hands administrators or service providers who need access for platform operation, application review, screening, support, or future worker allocation.

8. Worker application outcome

Submitting personal information through a worker application does not guarantee approval, work, income, permanent employment, recurring work, or placement. Information is used for review and screening.

9. Retention

Garden Route Hands may retain application and contact information for as long as reasonably needed for application review, screening, future possible work allocation, enquiry handling, record keeping, and platform operation.

10. Updating or deleting information

Applicants may contact Garden Route Hands to request correction, review, or removal of their information where legally appropriate. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

Important notice

Legal review needed

This policy should be legally reviewed before full public launch, especially because worker applications may include ID numbers, references, screening notes, and future worker profile information.
